Jim is a master craftsman and puppeteer. He has built and performed puppets locally at Wheaton Drama Inc. in downtown Wheaton, Illinois. His designs for Shrek the Musical, The Producers, and The Addams Family Musical brought a whimsy to the stage evoking the familiar warmth of Jim Henson.

One of Jim Martin’s earliest inspirations was the collective work of Jim Henson. Since that first magnetic moment in front of his childhood television, the unmistakable spark of Henson’s playful eccentricity and kooky humor has fueled Jim’s creative spirit
